I’m loving the interim mayor San Francisco Ed Lee’s Social media hustle right now.
San Francisco has had an interim mayor, Ed Lee, who was appointed to the role after then-Mayor Gavin Newsom was elected Lieutenant Governor of California.
Mr. Lee took the job as a temporary replacement. Now the city of San Francisco wants him to stay and pressed him into breaking his promise not to run. He has officially thrown his hat in the game and ready to take on the role as full time real Mayor of San Francisco.
All the mayorial candidates are using social media, content marketing and search marketing to varying degrees of success, but Mayor Ed is currently leading the pack in social buzz.
His campaign staff recently dropped a parody video of MC Hammer’s smash hit “2 Legit 2 Quit.” The video features heavy hitters including Google’s Marissa Mayer, the Giant’s Brian “Fear the Beard” Wilson, Twitter’s Biz Stone, YouTube’s Hunter Walk, will.i.am and 49ers legend Ronnie Lott and more.
